Projects for Mom's Stamp Camp

Here are a couple projects I have planned for a Stamp Camp at my mom's house in July. The first one is a suspension card using the Movers & Shapers die. This is a really cool technique that could also be done with punches or Nestabilities. I used the Cheers to You set. This is one of my favorites.

The second project uses Watercolor Wonder Crayons on Kraft cardstock. I've seen a lot of really great images lately done on Kraft. I like the way this looks. I used a blender pen and the crayons. You could also do this technique with craft ink or chalk pastels.

Summer Ice Cream Treat!!

I figured we could use something that would feel a little like summer!! I've had this set from The Angel Company for awhile. I really like the yummy ice cream images. I colored these with my Copic markers. I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of them!! The greeting is from a new SU set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. It's really versatile. A great value for the price....

SCS Challenge Card

Here's my card for this week's color and sketch challenges - CC224 and SC234. The color combo was a little bright for me - Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun, Pacific Point. I don't use Summer Sun very often. Since the colors are so bright I decided to go with a summery theme and used a cute popsicle stamp from Imaginisce. I really like the sketch. More practice with my Copics!!

Peaceful Wishes

Here's a card made with one of my all time favorite sets....Peaceful Wishes. I just love this set! I saw a similar card in this month's Card Maker magazine and decided to give it a try. I think it came out pretty good. I had a hard time getting a good picture. The colors look a little washed out. This is much prettier in person!!

This week's challenge card

Here's my card for the Color and Sketch challenges this week on Splitcoast - CC223 and SC233. I decided to go with a Blue Raspberry Daiquiri from the Cheers to You set. Doesn't that sound yummy?? The colors for the challenge were Ruby Red, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. I miss Baja Breeze already. I hope everyone stocked up!! I also used some Cyrstal Effects on my daiquiri glass but it's a little hard to see in the picture. This is a really good sketch. It could also be turned for a portrait layout and still look really great!

The Angel Company

So, I'm an equal opportunity stamper. I just love some of the images from The Angel Company. I bought this set awhile ago and haven't played with it in some time. I really like these cute dogs with their stretchy necks!! And I have to say.....I really like the unmounted option. Shhh...don't tell anyone!

For this card I practiced a little bit more with my Copic makers. I'm starting to get the hang of it. I can tell there will be another large purchase in my future!

Three years of In Colors

On this card I used my favorite In Colors from the last three years....Soft Sky, Kiwi Kiss and Bermuda Bay. I really miss Soft Sky and I know I'll be lost without Kiwi Kiss!!

I also used my Top Note die to make the focal point. I ran it through the Big Shot normally and then took the cut out, turned it 90 degress and ran it through a second time. You get a really neat square that way.

In Color Hula Money

Here's another digi stamp from Dustin Pike. I used all new In Colors on this one. I'm really liking the bright tropical colors! I used Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Mambo Melon. I colored this with my aquapainter and reinkers. So much fun....

SCS Sketch Challenge 232

Here's my card for this week's Sketch Challenge - SC232. I really like this sketch. I'll definitely use it again sometime. It's very versatile. I used the Stampin Up! set Crazy for Cupcakes. This is one of my favorite sets right now! So cute....

SCS Color Challenge 222

Here's my card for this week's Color Challenge over on Splitcoast. The challenge was to do a one layer card using only white cardstock. Well....mine started out as one layer and then I stamped my sentiment all crooked so I had to add another layer. Oh well...

I also tried a new technique with my Nestabilites. Instead of cutting out the frame I just embossed it into the card base. I think I like it. I'll have to try it again sometime!

Trying out my new Copics!!

Well, I finally joined the craze and bought some Copic markers. It's going to take some practice but I think I like them! Just like learning to watercolor, it's going to take some time but I really like the result. This image from Stamping Bella is one of my favorites!

Another Dragon from Dustin Pike

I just can't get enough of these images from Dustin Pike! I love his dragons. I used the Splitcoast color challenge CC221 on this one too.....Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red. I colored this with reinkers and my aquapainter. So much fun....

This week's Splitcoast challenges

Here's another weekly challenge from SCS - CC221 and SC231. The color combo was Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red. I'm going to miss these In Colors once they retire in July!! I really like the sketch challenge this week too. I think It's a Stretch works perfectly with this sketch.
