I pulled out an old standby for this card - Watercolor Trio. I colored the stamp with my markers and then cut it out with my Circle Scissors Plus. I layered that on two flowers cut with the Island Floral die. My DSP is called Beyond the Garden. I'm finding this paper a little tricky to use. The larger patterns sometimes overpower the focal point. My color combo is Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Wild Wasabi. My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. That's layered on the Word Window and Modern Label punches. I finished it off with some ribbon and a couple rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by!

Love & Sympathy
This is one of my favorite sets in the current catalog. It's so quick and easy to make a beautiful card. For this card my color combo is Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I need to remember this combo. I really like the way these colors compliment each other. My sentiment is from the same set and I punched that with a wide oval punch. My background panel is embossed with the Finial Press folder. I rounded all the left hand corners. Finally I used the scallop border punch on the Certainly Celery layer. Thanks for stopping by!

In Color Create a Cupcake
Here's the second project I made for last month's SU demo contest. I used the Create a Cupcake set and matching punch for this card. My color combo is Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake. My DSP is from the Occasions mini. It's called Sweet Shop. Along the bottom edge I used the scalloped Edgelits Adorning Accents die with the coordinating embossing folder. I really wanted to use some narrow taffeta ribbon but SU doesn't carry that style in Pool Party. So, I dyed the ribbon with a few drops of reinker mixed with water. It worked great! My sentiment is from the same set and I punched that with the Word Window punch. Finally I added a designer button and a few pearls for embellishments. I love this card even though it didn't win. Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day Card
Stampin Up has monthly contests for demonstrators. I won once a couple years ago so I decided to give it another shot. Last month the contest was to make a project for Father's Day. I guess I didn't win so I figured I'd post my card! I didn't have a good Father's Day sentiment for this design so I made one myself. I used a stamp from the set Friendly Phrases and then added "Dad" die cut from the Billboard alpha die. Behind my sentiment I stamped a couple of the cute kites from the set Send Me Soaring. My background is stamped with Woodgrain. My color combo is Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. I added a zig zag strip cut with the Tasteful Trim die. I hope I have better luck next month! Thanks for stopping by.

Clean & Simple Bright Blossoms
Here's a clean and simple card made with the Bright Blossoms set. Sometimes I just love lots of white in my cards. I embossed the card base with the Designer Frames embossing folder. My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Perfect Plum and Marina Mist. I added a couple designer buttons for the flower blossoms. The strip along the bottom was punched with the scallop ribbon punch. My sentiment is from the set Pennant Parade. That's it! Quick and easy. Thanks for stopping by!

Blossoms Abound - Another Old Favorite
I pulled out another old favorite stamp set for this card - Blossoms Abound. This set makes beautiful cards. I paired this with some bright DSP called Beyond the Garden. My color combo is Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade. My sentiment is from the retired hostess set Occasional Quotes. I layered that on a couple circle punches. I embellished it with punched flowers and a pearl. For punches I used Boho Blossoms and the Itty Bitty punch pack. Finally I added strip embossed with the Petals a Plenty folder. Thanks for stopping by!

Itty Bitty Bright Blossoms
I made another card with the sneak peek set Bright Blossoms. I was on the fence about this set but I'm really glad I got it. I added a few Itty Bitty buttons for the blossoms on the flower stem. The DSP is also a sneak peek item. It's called Summer Smooches and I'm really loving the bright funky designs. My color combo is Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango. My card base was embossed with the Stripes folder. I used a couple different border punches - scallop trim and scallop border. My sentiment is from the set Fabulous Phrases. Thanks for stopping by!

Sympathy in Elementary Elegance
I got the SAB set Elementary Elegance with my last order during the sale. This is the first card I made with the set and I really like it. The flourish around the sentiment is beautiful. My DSP is also a SAB item. It's called Everyday Enchantment. My sentiment is from an old retired set. I punched that with the curly label punch and popped it up on some dimensionals. The bottom piece of DSP is cut with the Adorning Accents edgelit die and then embossed with the coordinating folder. I sanded it a little for some contrast. I added some crochet trim and pearls for embellishment. My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Poppy Parade. Thanks for stopping by!

One More Send Me Soaring
I've decided this is my favorite set from the Occasions mini. I just love these little kites! I also used DSP from the mini. It's called Sweet Shoppe. My color combo is Basic Gray, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder. I added a strip cut with the Tasteful Trim die and then I embossed it with the Adorning Accents border embossing folder. My sentiment is from the Send Me Soaring set also. I punched that with a circle punch and then layered it on scallop die cut with the Birds and Blooms sizzlet. Thanks for stopping by!

An Old Favorite
I think Branch Out is my all time favorite tree stamp set from Stampin Up. I've made so many great cards with this set. And, it's quick and easy! For this card my color combo is Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Pretty in Pink and So Saffron. I think the DSP is called Afternoon Tea. It's been retired for quite awhile. My sentiment is from the set You're a Gem. I layered that on a couple circle punches. I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch and finished it off with some rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by!
