Thoroughly Modern Cheep Talk

I really liked the Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago so I decided to do another card with it.  I used the set Cheep Talk and Thoroughly Modern DSP.  I seem to be more into stamping than coloring lately.  Cheep Talk is one of my favorites if I just want to stamp.  The circles on this sketch can be a little tricky!

Still Stampin those Snowflakes

I just can't seem to get enough of the the set Serene Snowflakes.  I'm finding I like it more and more every time I pull it out!  This card was a little tricky with all those matted circles.  Sometimes my circle cutter can be a real pain!!  In the end it was worth the effort.  I found this layout on the Sketch Saturday blog - Sketch 77

Snow Globe

I borrowed this set from my Mom for the winter and I'm having a lot of fun with it.  I really wish Stampin Up! would add a new snow globe set to the next catalog!  I colored this with my aquapainter and added a couple felt snowflakes to finish it off.  I used some Dazzling Diamonds on the snowlakes but it's hard to see in the photo.

My Favorite Gnome

I think this gnome might be my favorite one in the Knobbly Gnomes set!  This guy was so much fun to color.  I used reinkers and an aquapainter.  There's so much detail in the stamp itself that coloring is super easy!  I also used some new DSP.  I bought the Pawsitively Prints paper from the Holiday mini and just hadn't gotten around to using it.  There are some really great stripes and plaids in there!

Cocoa Christmas

Here's a card I put together using one of my favorite color combos - Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red.  I used the SU set Snow Swirled and the Movers and Shapers die to cut the Modern Label window.  Simple but pretty.

2 Sketches 4 You - Sketch 41

I had yesterday off from work so I did some searching for other sketch blogs and I found another good one.  Here's my card for 2 Sketches 4 You - Sketch 41.  I used up some more retired DSP and my new snowflake die.  Not much stamping on this one.....just the sentiment.

Friday Sketchers 81

I found another great blog with some fun sketches to try out.  For this card I followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers.  I used the stamp set Bloomin Beautiful and some retired Parisian Breeze DSP from Stampin Up!  I love how these blues and browns look together!  I colored this using reinkers and an aquapainter.

Mojo Monday Sketch 116

Here's my card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge - MOJO116.  I figured this was a good sketch to use up some DSP scraps so I pulled out my favorite DSP - Razzleberry Lemonade.  I really love these bright colors.  The stamp is from The Angel Company and I colored it with my Copic makers.  Great sketch this week!

Taking a Break from Christmas Cards!

I decided I needed a break from all my Christmas stamps!  I really enjoy making Christams cards but after awhile I need a change of pace.  I decided to do something kind of summery.  This stamp is from The Greeting Farm and I colored it with Copic markers.  I think the DSP is from Basic Grey.  Sometimes it's nice to take a little break and do something different!

Mojo Monday Sketch - MOJO115

Here's a quick card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.  I got some new snowflake dies that I wanted to try out.  I think this came out pretty good.  I wasn't too sure about my color choices but they came together ok in the end.  I also used the SU set Serene Snowflakes to stamp the background.   I really like those snowflakes.  I think this set might stay in my personal stash for quite awhile!

Smiling Snowmen

Here's another cute snowman card.  I got this image from my Mom so I'm not even sure who makes this stamp but the snowmen sure are cute!  I colored these with my Copic markers and all the paper is Stampin Up!  Sometimes it's nice to do a card that's a different size.  This one came out pretty good!

Here's a quick card I put together using the Stampin Up Level 2 Hostess Set, Snow Buddies.  This is a super cute set.  Lot's of different little doo dads to go with the snowmen!

Serene Snowflakes

I didn't think I needed another snowflake stamp but I just couldn't pass up this beautiful set.  This card was made with Serene Snowflakes from the Stampin Up Holiday mini catalog.  These snowflakes are very elegant and pretty.  I paired these with the Christmas Cocoa DSP also from the mini catalog.

More Christmas Cards

I'm thinking about doing another Christmas Card Stamp Camp sometime in the next few weeks.  Here's a card I made for the camp.  This one uses a very simple design with traditional colors.  I don't usually do basic red and green but this came out pretty good.

Christmas Snowman

Here's a quick card I put together using a snowman set from The Angel Company.  I forget the name but I really like how this turned out.  I colored with Copic markers and used some retired SU DSP.  I'm really trying to use up last year's Christmas paper.  I'm always surprised how far a pack of paper will go!!  I think I'm nearly finished with my Christmas cards....

Another Gnome

Here's another card with my new Knobbly Gnomes.  I just love these guys!!  For this one I used last week's sketch challenge on Splitcoast - SC252.  I colored this with reinkers and an aquapainter.  Watercoloring is perfect for this stamp set.  And a lot easier than it looks!

My New Knobbly Gnomes!!

I got an awesome surprise in the mail today!!  My Mom found this retired SU set Knobbly Gnomes and bought it for me.  I was so surprised!  I've always loved this set but I just never bought it and then it retired.  Here's my first card with it.  I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch - MOJO111.  I just love these little guys!!  They are so much fun to color.  Thanks Mom.

Mojo Monday Sketch - MOJO110

Here's a quick card I put together for the Mojo Monday Sketch.  You can find the details here.  I decided to take a break from Christmas cards for this one.  I used Cheep Talk and Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.  This sketch really showcases DSP.  I like all the layers.

Miss Anya Christmas Card

Here's a card I made for last week's challenge over at The Greeting Farm.  I didn't win but I still really like this card!  I used lots of layers and textures.  It was a fun card to make.  Too bad I didn't win!!  Oh well...maybe next time.

Altered Mini Notebook Purses

Aren't these little purses just the cutest?  I saw these on Splitcoast and just had to try them out.  I bought a couple mini composition notebooks, trimmed the corners off at an angle and then decorated them like little purses.  It was really very easy and they came out super cute!  I've been trying to use up my retired DSP and this is a perfect project for that.  This is Afternoon Tea from SU.

Mojo Monday Sketch - MOJO109

Here's another Mojo Monday Sketch.  The details can be found here.  I used an old retired Stampin Up! set I borrowed from my Mom called Snow Globe.  I wish we had something like this in the current catalog!  This was a quick and easy card.  The sketch made it super fast.

Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC250

I haven't done a Splitcoast challenge in awhile so I decided to give this one a try.  This is a great sketch.  You can find the details here.  I used a bunch of retired stuff on this card.  I'm still missing last year's In Colors!!

Mojo Monday - MOJO108

I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week.  It can be found here.  I pulled out my all time favorite stamp set Peaceful Wishes.  I just love this beautiful set!  So glad my Mom was able to find it for me after I mistakenly sold my own!  Learned my lesson on that one...

Still working on those Christmas Cards!

Here's another card with Patterned Pines.  For this one I used the little poinsettia stamp colored with my markers.  It worked great.  Lots of white space makes this card simple and elegant.  Sometimes less is more!

Another Patterned Pines Card

The more I play with Patterned Pines the more I like it!  I'm kinda sad this is a hostess set.  I'd like the see it in the full catalog!!  For this card I used the snowflake in the set.  Just a little stamping and an embossed background and you're done!  Super simple but very pretty.
