Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC 95

Here's a quick card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC95.  I used my new Morning Cup set again.  This set is so much fun to color.  I used my reinkers and aquapainter on some watercolor paper.  The color combo is Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Pear Pizzazz.  I was in the mood for some bright cheery colors!  I used the Tasteful Trim die to cut the scalloped edge piece.  My sentiment is punched with the Tiny Tags punch.  I added this to a button tied with some linen thread.  The DSP in the background is SU's Sunny Garden.  I think that's it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC 91

Here's my card for this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC91.  I pulled out some fall colors for this one.  The DSP is SU's Autumn Spice from the Holiday Mini.  The color combo is Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Old Olive.  The stamp is from the SU set Word Play.  I colored directly on the stamp with my markers.  This set is great for that technique.  It's got lots of awesome fonts to play with!  The scalloped border is cut with the Tasteful Trim die and then embossed with the Square Lattice folder.  The circle mat was cut with a Nellie's Choice die.  I added a few brads to finish it off.  This card is for my hubby.  Today is our anniversary.  Hope he likes it!  Thanks for stopping by.

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch and SCS Color Challenge

Here's another card for a couple challenges.  I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC85 and Splitcoast's Color Challenge - CC282.  The stamp is another new one from SU called Word Play.  I used my markers to color directly on the stamp.  The color combo for the challenge was Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso.  I used some SU Paper Daisies that I dyed to match my colors.  The embossing folder is Victoria from Cuttlebug.  I did some piercing around the Blushing Bride cardstock and finished with some pearls and ribbon.  The diecut behind my stamped image is another one from my new set.  Sorry, I don't know who makes this!  I really wish I hadn't thrown away the packaging!  Thanks for stopping by.

Update - I did some searching and found out the maker of my new dies is Nellie's Choice.  I knew it was a woman's name!!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC81

Here's my card for this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC81.  I got some new SU goodies this week.  My first order from the new catalog was mostly paper and ink but I did throw in a couple stamp sets.  For this card I originally intended to use my new set Aviary but the whimsical birdcages just didn't fit with this DSP.  So instead I used the bird from the new set Punch Potpourri.  I really like how all the stamps in this hostess set coordinate with punches.  The DSP is new also.  It's called Sunny Garden.  I think my favorite new accessory is the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch.  I can see this getting a lot of use on my upcoming projects!  The colors for this card are all new as well - Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.  I threw in a few pearls and rhinestones for a little bling!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC79

Here's my card for this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC79.  I used a couple new SU sets for this card - Fast & Fabulous and Perfect Punches.  I also used the Linen background stamp.  The greeting is from the set Vintage Labels.  The focal image is stamped on Presto Patterns DSP.  I really like the diamond pattern.  It's adds some nice texture without being distracting.  For colors I used Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry.  The new "Brights" collection is really eye catching.  It gets my creative juices flowing!!  I used the round tab punch for the sentiment and finished with a couple buttons.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - MTSC78

Here's a quick card I made for Mercy's Tuesday sketch - MTSC78.  I just love the bright cheerful colors in the Island Oasis DSP.  However, I've been having a hard time using the piece with the big tropical flowers.  I finally decided to use it as my focal point for this sketch.  I think the paper speaks for itself and doesn't need a lot of distracting embellishments.  I like the way this turned out.  For stamps I used the new set Perfect Punches.  I cut the big flower with the Island Floral die.  For colors I used Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and So Saffron.

Presto Patterns MTSC77

Here's a quick card I made for Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge - MTSC77.  For this card I used Presto Patterns DSP.  I sponged Marina Mist, Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery on the main image panels.  I used Sahara Sand for the base and I sponged this color onto the background piece of Presto DSP.  I also sprayed this with a little Silver Foil Smooch but it's hard to tell in the photo!  For the sentiment I used Tiny Tags and layered Vintage Labels over the little flower.  Add a little Hodgepodge hardware and done!  I think I'm starting to get the hang of the Presto DSP.
