Watercolor Winter

I think this will be my final Christmas card post!  I got my Spring catalog preorder this week and I'm ready for some new stamps!  For this card I used Watercolor Winter, my favorite stamp set from the Holiday catalog.  My color combo is Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand.  The DSP strip is from the stack called Festival of Prints.  My background panel is embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder.  I inked that first with my brayer before I ran it through the Big Shot.  I added some crochet trim and a ribbon slide to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by.  Merry Christmas!

Stamp Camp Projects

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post last week.  I was super busy preparing for an event.  It went really well and the good news is now I have four cute projects to share!
This first card uses the pine tree from Lovely as a Tree for a focal image.  The background is Core'dinations card stock embossed with the Woodgrain folder and then sanded a little.  My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  My color combo is Old Olive, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.  I added a designer button with a little linen thread to finish it off.
The second project uses the set Happy Hour.  My DSP is called Snow Festival.  The color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Primrose Petals.  I added a punched circle embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder behind my stamped image.  My cute little drink is die cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  Finally I added a couple border strips cut with the Tasteful Trim die.
This next card was based on my winning Make and Take card that I posted a few weeks ago.  I used the new single stamp called Bold Snowflake with the coordinating Blossom punch.  My sentiment is from the set More Merry Messages.  My color combo is Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder.  I finished it off with a designer brad.
The final project uses a more traditional color scheme - Gumball Green, Real Red and Baja Breeze.  I used the Delightful Decorations stamp set and coordinating punch.  My DSP is called Snow Festival.  My sentiment is from the set Sweet Essentials.  I stamped that on a scallop strip cut with the Tasteful Trim die.  For embellishments I added a button with a little baker's twine.  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Winter with Word Play

I made this card using a couple great sets - Watercolor Winter and Word Play.  I don't use the set Word Play enough.  I need to pull it out more often!  My DSP is called Festival of Prints.  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  I used the Perfect Polka Dots folder on the background strip of Core'dinations card stock and then sanded it off a little.  I used a couple circle punches and larger circle dies.  This sketch is an old Mojo Monday.  Finally I added a small banner cut with the Itty Bitty Banners die.  Thanks for stopping by!

Friendly Phrases

Last fall I got some of the Spice Cake designer fabric and I really haven't used it that much.  I decided to pull some out for this card. I attached a piece of fabric to some chipboard and then ran it through my Big Shot using the Lattice die.  It looks really great in real life!  My color combo is Pool Party, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.  My DSP is from the Holiday Catalog.  It's called Festival of Prints.  My sentiment is from the set Friendly Phrases.  I layered that on the circle and scallop circle punches.  The only other punch I used is the scallop border for a little trim.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bold Snowflake

I was very happy when SU started offering a bunch of different stamps in a single version.  I already owned most of the sentiment stamps but this Bold Snowflake is a brand new stamp and it really caught my eye.  It coordinates with the Blossom punch.  I hadn't bought the Blossom punch yet so this stamp was the perfect excuse!  My color combo is Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Midnight Muse.  I used two different embossing folders - Snow Burst and Argyle.  I added some ribbon and a small button to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hour

I've been working on some samples for an upcoming workshop.  Here's one of the rejects.  I like this layout but it's a little tight within the circle punch.  That's a little tricky in a group setting.  I used the set Happy Hour.  I like that this set has lots of versatile sentiments.  My color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Primrose Petals and Gumball Green.  I embossed the background panel with the Chevron folder.  I added a little stitched ribbon to finish it off.  Thanks for looking!

Watercolor Winter

I've made so many great cards with this stamp set.  I know it's going to be a favorite for a long time to come.  For this card I used an old Mojo Monday sketch.  My DSP is called Festival of Prints.  I used a couple different embossing folders - Perfect Polka Dots and Lacy Brocade.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I added a designer button and a little tag.  I made the tag using the Lovely Little Labels stamp set and coordinating punch.  I realized I haven't used this set nearly enough!  I need to pull it out more often.  My color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.  I finished it off with a few pearls in the center of my poinsettia.  Thanks for stopping by!

Memorable Moments

A good friend of mine celebrated her 50th birthday a couple months ago.  I made this card for her.  I used the set Memorable Moments for this milestone birthday.  I mounted that on a couple die cut circles and a stamped frame from the set Daydream Medallions.  This set has a coordinating framelit called Floral Frames.  My background is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.  I added a strip cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelit.  I finished it off with a little ribbon and some rhinestones.  Thanks for stopping by!

Loads of Love

I pulled out an old favorite set for this Thank You card.  I haven't used Loads of Love in ages!  The layout for this card is a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago.  I paper pieced the truck and used a couple large circle dies for my focal image.  The DSP is from the Holiday catalog.  It's called Orchard Harvest.  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.  I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch and finished it off with a designer button.  Thanks for stopping by!

Workshop Projects

I have an event coming up and these are the three projects I have planned.  I hope everyone has fun!
This first project uses Watercolor Winter and More Merry Messages.  My background panel is embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder.  I inked the folder with Crumb Cake and then ran it through my Big Shot.  My DSP is called Festival of Prints.  The color combo is Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.  My focal image is cut with the Window Frames Framelit.  I added some Crochet Trim and a Ribbon Slide for embellishment.
My second project uses the set Make a Mitten and coordinating punch.  My DSP is called Snow Festival.  I used the color combo Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler.  The sentiment is also from the set More Merry Messages.  My background panel is Gumball Green Core'dinations card stock embossed with the Argyle folder and sanded.
The final project uses the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and coordinating Framelit.  The background panel is embossed with the Fancy Fan Folder.  My color combo is Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder.  I added a strip of Silver Glimmer paper punched with the scallop border punch.  My sentiment is from the set More Merry Messages.  I used some Baker's Twine to string my ornaments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Frosty Friends

I made another card with the super cute single stamp Frosty Friends.  These little guys are so much fun.  I colored them with my blender pen and ink pads.  My background is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.  I brayered my folder with Frost White Shimmer Paint and then ran it through my Big Shot.  I love the sparkly look this produced.  I'll be trying this again.  My color combo is Midnight Muse, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party.  My sentiment is from the set Mixed Medley.  I punched it out with the small scallop circle and small circle punches.  I added a strip punched with the scallop edge punch.  I also added some Dazzling Details but it's hard to make out in the photo.  Thanks for stopping by!

Perfect Punches is a Winner!

I was very sad to hear that Stampin Up was discontinuing the monthly demo contests.  I didn't enter every month but I still loved the contests and seeing the monthly winners.  So, since they announced the final contest I decided to give it one last shot.  I'm very happy to tell you I won in the Make & Take category!  Woo hoo!  Three free stamp sets!  Since the category was Make & Take my card is very simple and easy to reproduce.  My card base is Whisper White with a second, slightly smaller, layer to give it a little more stability.  I love Whisper White card stock.  I've tried lots of different whites on the market and nothing compares for stamping.  However, it is a little thin so that's why I like to layer a second piece when using it for my base.  My DSP is called Snow Festival.  I chose 3 complimentary patterns and made pennants out of them.  My sentiment is from the set Perfect Punches.  I stamped that in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green and then punched it out.  I added a little Baker's Twine for embellishment.  Quick and easy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Perfectly Preserved

I made another card using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and coordinating Framelits.  These make such cute cards!  I just love these little apples.  This is a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago.  My DSP is from the Holiday catalog.  It's called Orchard Harvest.  My color combo is Island Indigo, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Raspberry Ripple.  My sentiment is from the set Fabulous Phrases.  I embossed the background circle with the Square Lattice folder.  Thanks for stopping by!

Make a Mitten

Here's another card I made with the Make a Mitten set and coordinating punch.  I really love these cute little mittens.  It's actually really easy to ink them with my markers to get multiple colors and the punch makes it super simple to cut them out.  My sentiment is from the set More Merry Messages.  My color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Primrose Petals and Gumball Green.  The DSP is called Snow Festival.  I embossed the background panel with an Argyle folder and then sanded the Core'dinations card stock.  I added a little Baker's Twine to my mittens to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Clean and Simple Watercolor Winter

Here are a couple clean and simple cards I made with Watercolor Winter.  This is by far my favorite set from the Holiday catalog.  Both of these cards were made with Confetti White cardstock.  For colors, I used Early Espresso, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  I inked around the edges of the stamped panels and popped them up on some dimensionals.  The Christmas sentiment is from the set More Merry Messages.  The birthday sentiment is from the set Bring on the Cake.  I love how both of these turned out.  Thanks for looking!

Ornament Keepsakes

I ordered the Ornament Keepsakes bundle with my very first Holiday catalog order and I haven't really used it much yet.  I'm not sure why because I really like the stamps and the coordinating Framelits set.  I pulled them out for this card.  I also used the Christmas sentiment from the Seasonal Sayings set.  I got this set free when I attended the Providence RI regional back in August.  I love free stuff!!  My color combo is pretty traditional - Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  The bottom piece of Gumball Green is the new Cor'dinations card stock.  I embossed that with the Lacy Brocade folder and then sanded it to bring out the lighter color.  My card base is die cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelit.  I added some stitched satin ribbon and a few rhinestones for embellishments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Frosty Friends

I just can't resist a cute snowman stamp!  This single stamp really caught my eye.  It's called Frosty Friends.  I paired that with the Snow Festival DSP.  My color combo is Baja Breeze, Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler.  I colored the snowmen with my blender pen and ink pads.  I added a little Dazzling Details but it's hard to make out in the photo.  My sentiment is from the set Curly Cute.  I added a couple strips punched with the scallop ribbon punch to either side of my sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by!

Gently Falling Birthday

My husband had a birthday a few weeks ago and this is the card I made for him.  I used the stamp set Gently Falling.  I haven't used this set much this fall and it's one of my favorites.  My color combo is More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso.  My sentiment is from the set Itty Bitty Banners and I cut that with the coordinating die.  My background is embossed with the Woodgrain folder and then I sanded it a little bit.  I finished it off with a Brushed Bronze button and some linen thread.  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Winter Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated our 13th anniversary last week.  This is the card I made for him and I have to say I love how this turned out.  Masculine cards can be a little tricky for me but this one came together very easily.  I think this might be an old Mojo Monday sketch.  I used the Watercolor Winter stamp set.  My sentiment is from the set Memorable Moments.  My DSP is from the Holiday catalog.  It's called Festival of Prints.  My color combo is Bashful Blue, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.  I used a couple circle punches and my corner rounder.  I think the DSP really speaks for itself here so I didn't add any embellishments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hour Christmas Card

I really like that the set Happy Hour has such versatile sentiments.  For this card I used the set to make a Christmas card.  My color combo is Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray.  My card base is embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  For punches I used scallop ribbon, Decorative Label and square.  That's it, quick and easy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Perfectly Preserved Pear

This card was the first version of my swap for the Providence Regional last month.  I changed it around a little bit but the basic design was the same.  I used the set Perfectly Preserved and the coordinating dies.  My DSP is called Orchard Harvest.  The sentiment is from the set Just Believe.  I layered that on the Word Window and Modern Label punches.  The background is embossed with the Chevron folder.  My color combo is More Mustard, Early Espresso Lucky Limeade and Raspberry Ripple.  I added a little linen thread to the top of my jar to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Winter Clean and Simple

I just love this new set from the Holiday catalog - Watercolor Winter.  It's definitely one of my all times favorites.  This is a set I will keep forever.  I kept this card clean and simple to really showcase the stamp images.  My card base is Naturals White.  I embossed that with the Framed Tulips folder.  My color combo is Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  My sentiment is from the set Curly Cute.  I used my color spritzer to add a little dimension.  Finally I finished it off with a few pearls.  Thanks for stopping by!
