Birthday Bliss

I made this card using one of the Sale-a-Bration choices from the main catalog.  I got Birthday Bliss awhile back and it's a great little set.  For this card I used a sketch challenge on Stampin Connection-SCCSC7.  I really like the fun sentiment in this set.  I colored it with my In Color markers and matted it on a frame punched with the new Scallop Trim border punch.  I'm going to miss these In Colors!

Branch Out Challenges

I haven't really done any challenges lately so I picked a couple to play along with today.  I used the sketch challenge MTSC66 from Mercy Kerin's blog and a color challenge DCBD #170 from Diva Coffee Break Designs.  I also haven't used my Stampin Up! set Branch Out in quite a while.  I really love this set and I was sad to see it retire.  Oh well, I'll keep using it no matter what.

Emboss Resist Medallion

I just can't seem to get enough of this Medallion stamp!  For this card I used the Emboss Resist technique.  I stamped the Medallion then embossed it with white embossing powder.  After embossing, I sponged on a little chalk to bring out the stamped image.  I also used the stamp sets Vintage Vogue and Vintage Labels.

Medallion Stamped on DSP

Here's another technique I tried with the Medallion stamp.  This is a lot like the Emerging Color technique.  Instead of stamping images on white paper, I started with patterned paper.  I stamped the Medallion in Versamark directly on the DSP then embossed with clear embossing powder.  The final step is to brayer the whole thing with a darker ink.  I really like the way the DSP shows through the embossing.

Upsy Daisy

Here's another stamp set I borrowed from my Mom for the winter.  I was talking to her the other day and realized I hadn't stamped with it at all.  She's going to want it back so I figured I better pull it out and use it!  I used the shadow technique on this card.  I stamped first with Bashful Blue and then stamped again in Night of Navy just slightly offset.  You definitely need a Stamp-a-ma-Jig for this technique.

Vintage Friends

Here's another card I made with the SU set Vintage Vogue.  There are so many great stamps in this set that it's hard to go wrong!  I can tell this is one set I'll never part with.  I've made a ton of really beautiful cards with this set.  Here I used the Friends stamp with a little Sweet Pea DSP.  I'm also getting a lot of use of the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  I think the current mini catalog is my all time favorite.  Soooo many great products!

Another Medallion Card

I really like my new Medallion stamp!!  I've been stamping up a storm with it.  It's so easy to get a really great look with very little effort.  For this card I sponged various ink colors directly onto the stamp and then stamped the image.  I used Mambo Mellon, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango.  The result is very cool...or maybe I should say hot with those colors!!

Cards for Michele's Stamp Camp

Here are the four cards for Michele's Stamp Camp this Saturday.

This was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin Connection.  I like to include a couple pretty easy projects at a stamp camp.  This one is clean and simple but still pretty.
Michele asked for a Mother's Day card.  I used Vintage Vogue and Well Scripted for this card.  This one will take a little longer to do since the flower is cut out.
Here's an Easter card.  The flowers on this are done with a technique called Faux Suede.  It's a little hard to see in the photo.  The stamp set is Well Scripted again.
And finally we have a Father's Day card.  I used Well Scripted again....can you tell I love this set?!  This is a very versatile layout.  It can easily be made more feminine by choosing different colors and patterned paper.  I also found this on Stampin Connection.

New Medallion Stamp

I finally ordered the Medallion stamp from Stampin Up.  I've been seeing lots of great samples with this stamp and decided I had to have it!  For this card I used the Emerging Color technique.  I stamped a bunch of flowers from Vintage Vogue and then I stamped the Medallion over them in Versamark.  I embossed the Medallion with clear embossing powder and then brayered the whole thing with Certainly Celery ink.  This is a great stamp for this technique.

Clean and Simple Cheep Talk

I've been admiring clean and simple cards lately.  I thought I'd give one a try.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin Connection by Nance Leedy.  I changed it slightly by adding the little bird from the Cheep Talk set.  I also used the Embosslit Beautiful Wings.  I'm not usually a butterfly person but I've used this new die quite a bit.  I love the simple design and lots of white.

Another Quick Workshop Card

Here's another card for an upcoming workshop.  For this card I used the stamp sets Vintage Vogue and Well Scripted.  This is a quick and easy card.  I went with very few layers for a simple and elegant feel.  I really love the leafy border stamp in the Vintage Vogue set.  It's the perfect finishing touch.

Spring Daisy Card

Here's a quick card I put together using my Daisy die.  I really love this die!  It's pretty and really adds that "wow" factor to a project.  I sponged the tips with so So Saffron to add dimension.  I paired this with the stamp set Heard from the Heart.  I borrowed this set from my Mom so I want to get some use out of it before I have to give it back!!
