Sweet Sunday Sketch 130

I haven't played along with many challenges lately but the Sweet Sunday Sketch is one of my favorites.  I decided to give it a shot this week - SSSC130.  I used the new Stitched Stockings set again.  I punched these with the coordinating Stocking Builder punch.  The tops, toes and heels are all covered with Dazzling Diamonds.  With my last order I decided to try the Big Shot adhesive sheets.  I stuck the adhesive to some Whisper White and then punched them out.  I peeled the backing off the adhesive and then sprinkled on the Dazzling Diamonds.  I stuck really well.  I think I'll be doing glitter this way from now on!  My background is embossed with the Snow Burst folder.  The sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs and layered on a couple circle punches.  My color combo is Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 90

Here's my card for this week's challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch - SSSC90.  I decided to go with another Christmas card.  I need to get crackin on my personal cards!  I used the ornament from the Tags til Christmas set and the sentiment from the Jolly Jingles wheel.  My color combo is Early Espresso, Old Olive, Baja Breeze and Real Red.  The DSP is some retired SU that I've been trying to use up.  I used the ornament punch, scallop ribbon punch and scallop edge punch.  I matted my ornament on a label die cut with my Nestabilities.  I finished with a rhinestone and some silver cord.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 89

Here's my card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch - SSSC89.  I really liked this sketch.  I think I'll be using it again in the future.  I used the SU ornament set Tree Trimmings.  I used the color scheme from the Candy Cane Christmas DSP - Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Real Red and Blushing Bride.  Sometimes it's just easier to let your DSP be your guide!  I used the Scallop Ribbon edge punch and the Scallop Border punch.  The sentiment is from the wheel Jolly Jingles and I punched this with the new small oval punch.  My circle embellishments are pieces of chipboard covered with DSP and then topped with the epoxy pebbles from a Build-a-Brad set.  I don't have any brads left but I have lots of the little pebbles left over.  I like the look on chipboard.  It adds some nice dimension.  Thanks for stopping by!!

The Sweetest Thing & Color Throwdown Challenges

Here's a quick card I made for a couple challenges - SSSC79 and CTD102.  I used a brand new set called Word Play.  I love all the different fonts in this set.  For colors I used Not Quite Navy, Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist.  I used my markers to color directly on the stamp so each word is a different color.  The ribbon was punched with the Scallop Ribbon punch.  Thanks for stopping by!!

I had a question about the embossing folder I used.  Sorry I forgot to include the details on that!!  The folder is from Cuttlebug and it's called Victoria.  This is the first time I've used it but I know it won't be the last!!

Two Challenges in One

I made this card for a couple challenges - Paper Pal Arts PPA47 and The Sweetest Thing SSSC74.  The Paper Pal Arts challenge was to make something summery so I pulled out my Island Oasis DSP.  It's very bright and summery.  I used the Island Floral die to cut the main flower.  I used my 5 Petal Flower punch to punch out the center and then added a button.  I added a little embossing to the leaves with the Square Lattice folder.  For colors I used Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Old Olive.  I stamped the sentiment with the new set Occasional Quotes.  Thanks for stopping by!

More Sneak Peaks - SSSC73

Here's another card using some new SU sneak peak sets.  I used this week's sketch challenge at The Sweetest Thing - SSSC73.  For stamps I used 2 new hostess sets - Because I Care and Fast & Fabulous.  The colors are Tempting Turquoise, Mambo Melon and Daffodil Delight.  Daffoldil Delight is a new core color.  I rarely use yellow in may card making but this color really appeals to me.  It works great with the other colors.  I love this bright cheery combo!  I punched some flowers and cut the butterflies with my Beautiful Wings embosslit.  For patterned paper I used Razzleberry Lemonade and Island Oasis DSP.
