Workshop Projects

I have a couple events coming up and these are the projects I have planned.  I hope everyone likes them!
The first card uses the set Reason to Smile.  I stamped that on a label cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  The DSP is called Floral District.  My color combo is Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight.  The background panel is embossed with the new folder Fancy Fan.  I also punched a strip with the scallop trim border punch.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes and is layered on the Modern Label and Word Window punches.  I added a small button for embellishment.
The second project uses the set Make a Cake.  I punched that with a large circle punch.  My color combo is Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade.  My background panel is embossed with the new Chevron folder.  I added a punched strip with the scallop border punch.  My sentiment is from the set Itty Bitty Banners cut with the matching Bitty Banners Framelit.  I added a designer brad to finish it off.
My final project is a Christmas card.  I was really happy to see the set Delightful Decorations available is clear mount in this catalog.  Also, the new firm foam ink pads making inking up a solid stamp really easy!  I punched the ornaments with the coordinating punch.  My color combo is Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green and Whisper White.  I used a couple new items on the scalloped border.  I cut it with the Large Scallop Edgelit and then embossed with the coordinating Delicate Designs folder.  I added a couple rhinestones to the centers of my ornaments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bright Blossoms Birthday

Here's another card I made with the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  This set makes really cute, retro cards.  It's tons of fun!  I used new In Colors for this - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Gumball Green.  I used the Distressed Dots background stamp on the bottom layer.  I circle punched a mat and then embossed it with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  My stamped image is die cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  I popped that up on some dimensionals.  Finally my sentiment is die cut with the Bitty Banners Framelit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary for Grandma & Grandpa

My grandparents are celebrating their 65th anniversary at the end of the month.  I made this card for them.  At first I wasn't sure if I needed the set Memorable Moments but then I realized I have quite a few milestone events coming up this summer and this set is perfect for that.  Also, I really love the font used for the sentiments.  My color combo is Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Rich Razzleberry.  The DSP is called Summer Smooches.  I die cut the frame using a label from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set.  I used several punches for my flowers - Blossom Bouquet, Itty Bitty Punch Pack and Boho Blossoms.  I also added a couple pearls to the centers.  I used a retired die for the swirls behind my flowers.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out and I'll be using this color combo again for sure!  Thanks for stopping by.

Reason to Smile

Stampin Up is running a great promotion during July.  With a $50 order you can get this stamp set for $5.  It's called Reason to Smile and it's a great 2 Step Stampin set.  I embossed the card base with the new Fancy Fan folder.  My color combo is Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.  The background strip is die cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelit.  I stamped the flowers on a label cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  I used the new piercing template to pierce around the label.  I did the same with my punched oval for my sentiment.  The Hello greeting is from the SAB set Elementary Elegance.  The mat behind my sentiment was also cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  Finally, I added a couple pearls to finishing it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

My Winning Card!

A couple months ago I entered one of Stampin Up's monthly contests and I won!  I was so excited!  Three free stamp sets....woo hoo!!  My project was published in this month's Stampin Success so I figured it was okay to post it.  I started by cutting the mat with a large Labels Framelit.  I cut a second label from copy paper and then used the next size down to cut out the center.  I adhered this to the first label with some Dotto and then sponged around the inside edge.  I left the mask on and stamped my images from the Field Flowers set.  I removed the mask and carefully sponged around the outside edge.  My sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.  I popped the whole thing up on some dimensionals.  My ink colors are Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Old Olive.  This is a really simple technique with lots of wow factor.  Thanks for stopping by!

Daydream Medallions

Here's my first card with some of the goodies I got in my first catalog order.  I was a little unsure about this set at first.  The medallions are really large.  But, as I played with it a little bit I decided I really liked it!  I cut the medallion with the coordinating Floral Frames Framelit.  I love these too!  My sentiment is from the SAB set Elementary Elegance.  I think the font is perfect for this card.  I used the new piercing template to embellish my punched circle.  Love these too!  Can you tell I'm really happy with lots of new stuff from the catalog?!  Finally I added a couple die cut strips cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelit.  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Midnight Muse.  Thanks for stopping by!

So Many Candles

I've been so busy stamping this past week that I haven't blogged at all!  Sorry about that.  I promise to be better this week.  Here's another project using some new catalog goodies.  The DSP is called Floral District.  My color combo is Midnight Muse, Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango.  My background strip is stamped with the Distressed Dots background stamp.  I also die cut the edge of that layer with the Adorning Accents Edgelit.  My sentiment is from the set Bring on the Cake.  I punched that with a large circle punch.  I added a few punched flowers with pearls for embellishment.  I got my first new catalog order yesterday so I'll have some more new goodies next week.  Thanks for stopping by!
