Mojo Monday Sketch 212

I haven't played along with a Mojo Monday sketch in quite awhile so I decided to give it a go last weekend.  Here's my card for the Mojo 212 challenge.  I pulled out one of my favorite sets from last Christmas called Tags til Christmas.  I punched the ornaments with the coordinating punch and popped them up on dimensionals.  I added a couple pearls to the centers.  My DSP is called Frostwood Lodge.  My color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.  My sentiment is from the set Tiny Tags and I punched several of these with the Jewelry Tag punch.  I attached these with some Baker's Twine.  Thanks for stopping by!

Splitcoast Sketch Challenge - SC356

I've been picking away at my Christmas cards a little bit at a time.  Here's a card I made using this week's sketch challenge at Splitcoast - SC356.  I used the set Button Buddies for my focal point.  I stamped the snowman three times and added the buttons for the bellies.  My color combo is Real Red, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.  The polka dot DSP is from last year's mini.  It's called Candy Cane Christmas.  My card base is embossed with the Snow Burst folder.  I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch.  My sentiment is from the set Short & Sweet.  I punched that with an oval punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Boating Beauties

We had such a great summer on our boat this year.  The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed some great days.  In these shots we were out for the day with my hubby's brother and his family.  We had a great time!  I made this page with My Digital Studio.  I used a kit from the Sweet Shoppe called Love of Family.  The layout is based on a template from Darcy Baldwin and the font is called Joe Hand 2.  Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Sympathy

I just love the set Love & Sympathy.  For this card I kept it really simple, just focusing on the pretty flower.  I colored directly on the stamp with my markers.  My colors are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.  The sentiment is from the same set.  Finally I inked the edge of my mat to create a frame around my focal image.  That's it!  Simple and elegant.  Perfect for a sympathy card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Leaves of a Tree Thinking Of You

I still have quite a bit of last year's fall DSP, Autumn Spice, left over.  I pulled some out for this card.  My color combo is Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso.  The tree stamp is called Leaves of a Tree.  I rounded the corners of my focal image and inked the edges a little.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I layered that on the Word Window and Modern Label punches.  I made a flower rosette from First Edition DSP.  I added an antique brad to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Sun Kissed

I put another scrap page together this week.  I love this picture of my hubby so I knew I wanted to scrap it.  These pictures are from our vacation last year.  I'm a little sad we're not going back to Jamaica this year.  Maybe next year!  I used My Digital Studio to make this page.  The kit I used is from The Sweet Shoppe.  It's called Love of Family by Eva Kipler.  Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Gently Falling

Here's a clean and simple card I made with the set Gently Falling.  I'm really please with how this turned out.  I'm starting to really love clean and simple designs.  For this card I masked the square and sponged the inside edges with Crumb Cake ink.  I left a little bit of white in the center.  I stamped the leaves in Island Indigo and Cajun Craze.  The detail stamp is done in Soft Suede.  I inked the edge a little to create a frame.  My sentiment is from the set You're a Gem.  I think this will make a nice fall anniversary card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tree Trimmings

I pulled out a couple of my favorite Christmas stamp sets for this card - Tree Trimmings and Peaceful Wishes.  The DSP is from the Holiday mini.  It's called Holly Berry Bouquet.  I like that not all the patterns are strictly for Christmas.  This rose pattern would work for any occasion.  My color combo is Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Early Espresso.  The sentiment is from the set Short & Sweet.  I layered that on the Modern Label and Word Window punch.  I added a strip cut with the Tasteful Trim die.  I used some of the new Very Vanilla velvet ribbon.  Finally I embellished my card with a few buttons and some pearls.  Thanks for stopping by!

I've been having a lot of fun playing with the Gently Falling set.  It makes such pretty cards and it's super easy!  My DSP is called Spice Cake from the Holiday mini.  I've been using this color combo a lot too - Soft Suede, More Mustard and Pool Party.  I layered my acorn focal point on a couple circle punches.  My sentiment is from the set Fabulous Phrases.  I embossed the card base with the Square Lattice folder.  Finally I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pennant Parade Christmas Trees

This is the first card I've made with Pennant Parade as Christmas trees.  I like how this turned out.  It makes the set very versatile if I can use it for birthdays and Christmas!  For this card I used the coordinating punch.  My color combo is Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.  The DSP is from the Holiday mini and it's called Holly Berry Bouquet.  My sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.  I layered that on a couple circle punches and popped it up on a scallop circle.  Thanks for stopping by!
