Another Bright Blossoms Sneak Peek

Here's another card I made with the Summer Smooches sneak peek goodies.  This card uses the Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches DSP.  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise.  My sentiment is from the set Friendly Phrases.  My focal image is punched with a circle punch.  I layered that on two fancy flower punches offset to create a mat.  I embellished my card with some ruffled ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bright Blossoms Sneak Peek

So I really wasn't planning to get the Bright Blossoms set that SU is offering as a sneak peek to the new catalog.  I held out as long as I could and then I finally caved!  I've seen so many cute projects and I just love the bright cheerful colors.  I just couldn't resist.  This set along with the Summer Smooches DSP will be available for customers to order on April 1st.  My sentiment is from the set You're a Gem.  I layered that on a couple circle punches and a scallop circle.  My color combo is Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise and Lucky Limeade.  I punched a couple flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch and added a designer brad to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Send Me Soaring with Everyday Enchantment

I'm really glad I decided to buy this set!  I just love the cute little kites.  My DSP is a SAB item called Everyday Enchantment.  These colors are so soft and pretty.  My combo is Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral and Pool Party.  The scallop border was cut with the Tasteful Trim die.  My flowers are also a die cut.  They are from the Birds and Blooms sizzlet set.  My sentiment is from the same set and I layered that on a couple die cut circles.  I finished it off with some designer printed brads.  Thanks for stopping by!

Matchbox Favors

I got the Matchbox die last summer with my birthday month discount.  I'm finally getting around to trying it out!  I don't know why I waited so long.  I love these cute little boxes!  And, they were so easy to make.  I used a little Beyond the Garden DSP on the tops.  My color combo is Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi.  My sentiments are from the set Friendly Phrases.  I used circle and oval punches on the labels that come with the Matchbox die.  I added a few buttons to finish them off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Kindness Matters Sympathy

I got this set as one of my Sale-a-Bation freebies this year.  I thought it would make a nice sympathy card.  I used a sketch from Splitcoast from a few weeks ago.  My color combo is Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Old Olive and Island Indigo.  I used my blender pen and ink pads to color the butterflies.  My sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.  I layered that on a couple circle punches.  I used two different DSP's - First Edition and Paisley Petals.  I added a little ruffled ribbon and a scallop border cut with my Tasteful Trim die.  I finished it off with a paper flower and an Antique Trinket brad.  Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate You

Here's another card I made with the set Send Me Soaring.  These little kites are so much fun!  For this card I used a pastel color palette - Pirouette Pink, Perfect Plum and Pool Party.  My background is embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  The scalloped edge of my mat was cut with the new Edgelits die.  I used a label from the Matchbox die and layered a punched oval on top for my sentiment.  The popped up heart was cut with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.  I finished off the card with a little ruffled ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Send Me Soaring

When I saw these super cute kites in the Occasions mini I just knew I had to have them!  I made this card in bright, fun colors - Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.  I didn't have any ribbon in Wild Wasabi so I dyed some narrow taffeta to match.  I always keep white or vanilla ribbon on hand just for this purpose.  I also used my new Edgelit and coordinating embossing folder.  This is the first chance I've had to play with the new dies.  I think they are going to be some of my favorite new tools!  Finally I added a small die cut heart.  I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit for this.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Pattern Paper Coasters

So, like many of you out there my latest obsession is Pinterest.  There are so many cool craft projects posted!  These coasters were one of the first things I pinned and I finally got around to making them.  I got some new living room furniture last month so I wanted to make some coasters to match.  Unfortunately I didn't have any SU paper that would work so I had to comb through my stash to find something else that would match.  I'm not sure who makes this paper but the colors work great with my new furniture!  I had some old tiles laying around.  I think these came from Lowes.  I coated them with a layer of Mod Podge then stuck the paper down.  You have to be pretty quick with the paper because it sets up pretty quickly.  I did 2 more coats of Mod Podge over the top of the paper to seal it.  Finally I sprayed them with a coat of acrylic finish.  Super cute and very easy!  Now I need to make some with all the pretty SU DSP I've been hoarding.  I think these will make great gifts.  Thanks for stopping by!
