My Digital Studio Pages

So, I haven't been posting much lately because I've been feverishly working on my MDS scrapbook!  I wanted to get it submitted for printing as quickly as possible so I would have a sample to show everyone.  I finished last night and uploaded it to Stampin Up!.  It went very smoothly.  Here are a couple pages for you to check out.  I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to traditional scrapbooking!!

My New Blog Banner

So....what do you think of my new banner?  I made it using My Digital Studio!  The more I play with this software, the more I like it.  It was really easy to do.  I laid out the design in MDS then I exported it as a jpg file.  From there I used photo editing software to crop and size it.  It took a couple tries but it was pretty simple!

Final Stamp Camp Project

So here's the last project for my fall Stamp Camp.  I saw this technique on Patty Bennett's blog.  I cut an oval template from chipboard and then I ran it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder Petals a Plenty on top.  It leaves a nice flat spot for stamping.  Cool huh?

Anniversary Card

Yesterday was my 10th wedding anniversary.  Here's the card I made for my wonderful husband.  I'm very fortunate that he understands and appreciates my passion for papercrafting!!  Thanks honey!

This is another tent topper card.  The stamp set is an old one from The Angel Company.  All the papers, inks and embellishments are Stampin Up.  I also figured out how to create my waterwark from My Digital Studio graphics!  Very cool....

Another Stamp Camp Project

Here's another card I made for my fall Stamp Camp.  This one uses the stamp Dasher.  This card design in called a tent topper.  It's nice because it's a little different but it still fits in a regular envelope.  I used the big snowflake die to make the mat for the focal point.  I really like how this turned out.

Playin around with MDS

I'm still playing around with my new MDS software.  Tonight I've been working on watermarks and signatures.  I haven't figured out the watermark yet but I think I've got the signature.  We'll see!!  Maybe tomorrow I'll try to do a blog banner....

My Digital Studio....WOW!

All I can say is WOW!  Stampin Up has just developed a digital papercrafting progam called My Digital Studio.  I got my copy last night and it is just amazing.  I've wanted to try digi scrapping for awhile but I found the other programs cumbersome and counterintuitive.  This program ROCKS!  I installed it and I was off.  I learned the progam and completed this page in just a couple hours.

This is never going to replace traditional scrapbooking but it sure is cool.  I didn't think I would want to sit in front of the computer even more than I usually do but I found the creative process just as enjoyable.  It's so easy to try different things and move elements around.  No wasted paper or embellishments!  This will be available to customers October 1st.

Another Stamp Camp card

Here's another project for my fall Stamp Camp.  This card uses the snowflakes from the set Snow Swirled.  The background is embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.  I just love the SU embossing folders.  They give such a beautiful deep embossed image!

Getting Ready for Stamp Camp

I'm planning a Christmas card Stamp Camp for this fall.  I think this is going to be one of the projects.  This card uses the stamp set Tree Trimmings and Thoroughly Modern DSP.  It's a little nontraditional for a Christmas card but I like it.  They can't all be red and green!!

Another Christmas Cocoa Project

Here's another card I made using the Christmas Cocoa DSP from the Holiday Mini.  The background paper is silvery and the red design is flocked.  It's really beautiful in person.  I used the stamp set Many Merry Messages for the greeting.  I just love the font.  It's so elegant.  It goes really well with this fancy paper!!

I ordered some of the new DSP called Christmas Cocoa. This is available in the Holiday Mini. It's really beautiful paper. This particular design is flocked. It's much nicer in person!

Another Project with Thoroughly Modern DSP

I decided to play around a little more with my new Daisy die. I really like it. I think it's going to be very versatile. I'll get a lot of use from it! I also used Thoroughly Modern DSP. I love this color combo of Bermuda Bay, Rose Red and Sahara Sand! So pretty....

Got some new DSP!!

While I was on vacation last week, I planned it so I would have some new goodies waiting for me when I got home! One of them was a pack of Thoroughly Modern DSP. I really like these bold bright colors. I also decided to play around with another watercolor rose. It's such an easy technique that produces great results!
