New Apothecary Art with Framelits

For this card I pulled out lots of new goodies!  This is the first project I have made with the new set Apothecary Art.  I love that it coordinates with the new Framelits Label dies.  I colored the flowers with a little ink and my blender pen.  My sentiment is from the set Perfect Words.  I really like the font on this particular stamp.  My DSP is one of the new choices for Sale-a-Bration this year.  It's called Everyday Enchantment and it's just lovely.  Love the distressed edges!  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Poppy Parade.  I added a row of pearls to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mouthwatering Sweet Treats

Here's another card I made with the new Mouthwatering stamp set.  I paired this with some Sweet Shop DSP.  I really like that a couple sheets in this pack are embossed.  On this card the polka dot pattern is embossed.  It's a little hard to make out in the picture but it's very nice in real life.  My color combo is Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder and Soft Suede.  My ice cream cone is die cut with one of the new label Framelits. I added some ruffled ribbon, baker's twine and a designer brad for embellishment.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I punched that with the jewelry tag punch.  Finally, the bottom corners on all my layers are rounded.  Thanks for stopping by!

Shabby Shoppe Template Challenge 19

Candy Conversations Valentine

I just couldn't resist this single stamp from the new Occasions mini.  It's called Candy Conversations.  I used a non traditional color scheme for this valentine - Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  I punched the hearts out and popped each one up.  I made a banner with the petite pennant punch.  My DSP is also from the new mini.  It's called Sweet Shop.  I embellished my banner with some Itty Bitty buttons and Baker's Twine.  Finally I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

New Occasions Mini Goodies!

I got my preorder this week from the new Occasions Mini.  I love this mini!  There are so many awesome sets and accessories in this next mini.  I was tempted to spend way too much this time!  I manged a little restraint...lol.  Here's my first project.  I used the stamp set called Mouthwatering.  I colored the stamps with my markers.  My color combo is Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Soft Suede.  This new DSP is super cute!  It's called Sweet Shop.  I love all the patterns.  My sentiment is from a retired set called Sweet Scoops.  I stamped this on a label cut with one of our new Framelits.  This nesting set of dies is awesome!  I love the shape.  I'm going to get a lot of use from these dies.  I embellished my card with some Baker's Twine and a new Jelly Bean Designer brad.  I'm so happy to have some new toys!  Thanks for stopping by.

Tiny Teacup Hello

I don't buy a whole lot of single stamps but I did pick up this cute little cup.  It's called Tiny Teacup.  My color combo is Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi and Blushing Bride.  The striped and polka dot DSPs are from the pack Just Add Cake.  I embossed the background panel with the Houndstooth folder.  My sentiment is part of the same stamp.  I actually trimmed the greeting away from the cup and made two separate stamps.  It worked great and now I can use them separately.  I layered both the "hello" and teacup on some circle punches.  I finished the whole thing off with a little scalloped dotted ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Trio Sympathy

I pulled out some In Colors for this sympathy card.  I really like how these three colors work together - Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder.  My focal image is stamped with Watercolor Trio.  I used a couple oval Nesties to die cut and mat it.  The background is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.  I added a piece of ruffled ribbon on a strip punched with the scallop trim punch.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  To give my stamped image a little depth I used a color spritzer tool with my Island Indigo marker.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary for Mom & Dad

Last week was my parents anniversary.  This is the card I made for them.  I haven't used much of the designer fabric so I decided to pull it out for this card.  I adhered the fabric to some chipboard and then ran it through my Big Shot.  The leaf looks really great made from fabric!  I layered that on a background piece I embossed with the Square Lattice folder.  My color combo is Soft Suede, Pool Party and Very Vanilla.  The sentiment is from an old retired set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Up, Up & Away Sketch Challenge

Well, I'm officially sick of Christmas cards!  Maybe it's because we got 6 inches of snow today.  I'm just not ready.  So, I decided to pull out a fun set to play with tonight.  For this card I used the cute hot air balloon set called Up, Up & Away.  I really like this cut out sketch.  It was easier to do than I thought it would be.  It's from Splitcoast - SC360.  My DSP is called Just Add Cake.  My color combo is Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Peach Parfait and So Saffron.  The only embellishment is a strip punched with the scallop edge punch.  I love how this turned out!  Thanks for stopping by.

Peaceful Wishes

I've been making a lot of cards using the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP and color combo.  For this card I pulled out an old favorite stamp set called Peaceful Wishes.  I love the pine cone and bough in this set.  I think Stampin Up needs a new pine tree set!  We haven't had one for years now.  My color combo is Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Wild Wasabi.  I used the Tasteful Trim die and scallop ribbon punches.  My sentiment is from the set Christmas Greetings.  I added a couple corduroy buttons for embellishment.  Thanks for stopping by!

Lucky in Vegas Digi Layout

A few weeks ago I took a business trip to Las Vegas.  It was a really great trip.  I'd never been before but I will definitely be going back!  The highlight of my trip was winning an iPad2 at the vendor fair.  I was so excited!  I knew I needed to make a layout.  I used the Plentiful kit from the Shabby Shoppe.  This layout also uses the template from the Shabby Shoppe's Blog Challenge 18.  My font is a freebie called Just Realize.  The photos are a little blurry but I still love how this turned out.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Camp Projects

I have a Christmas Card Stamp Camp scheduled for next weekend.  These are the four projects I have planned.  I hope everyone likes them!
The first card uses the set Pennant Parade with the coordinating punch.  I love how the set is so versatile.  The trees are just as cute as the pennants!  The sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.  For punches we're using the scallop ribbon and circle punches.  My background panel is embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  I finished it off with a designer button.
The second project is nice and simple.  It's always good to have an easy one!  I used the set Serene Snowflakes on the focal image.  The sentiment is from the set Many Merry Messages.  My color combo is Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.  I added a rhinestone to finish it off.
The third card uses the set Stitched Stockings and the coordinating punch.  I used a couple different embossing folders - Perfect Polka Dots and Snow Burst.  The DSP is called Frostwood Lodge.  My sentiment is from the set Pennant Parade.  The color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist and Whisper White.  There's a little pearl in the center of the snowflake but it's hard to make out in the photo!
The final project uses Pines & Poinsettias for the focal image.  I layered that on a circle punch and two Fancy Flower punches.  The DSP is called Holly Berry Bouquet.  The card base is embossed with the Petals a Plenty folder.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  It's punched with the Word Window punch.  I added a designer button for embellishment.  I think that's it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stitched Stockings

I pulled out an old Mojo Monday sketch for this card - Mojo198.  It caught my eye awhile ago and I've finally gotten around to trying it out.  I used the Stitched Stockings set and coordinating punch.  My DSP is from the Holiday mini.  It's called Holly Berry Bouquet.  My color combo is Wild Wasabi, Real Red and Chocolate Chip.  I mounted my stocking on a mat embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  My sentiment is from the set Tags til Christmas.  I layered that on a couple circle punches and a scallop circle punch.  I don't usually like really wide ribbon on cards.  It just doesn't fit my style.  I got a little of this striped ribbon free with the Christmas Keepsake box so I decided to add some to this card.  I think I like....lol.  It's still not my style but in small doses it can be nice.  Finally I added a strip punched with the scallop edge punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

I've been picking away at my Christmas cards a little bit at a time.  Here's a card I made using this week's sketch challenge at Splitcoast - SC356.  I used the set Button Buddies for my focal point.  I stamped the snowman three times and added the buttons for the bellies.  My color combo is Real Red, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.  The polka dot DSP is from last year's mini.  It's called Candy Cane Christmas.  My card base is embossed with the Snow Burst folder.  I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch.  My sentiment is from the set Short & Sweet.  I punched that with an oval punch.  Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple Sympathy

I just love the set Love & Sympathy.  For this card I kept it really simple, just focusing on the pretty flower.  I colored directly on the stamp with my markers.  My colors are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.  The sentiment is from the same set.  Finally I inked the edge of my mat to create a frame around my focal image.  That's it!  Simple and elegant.  Perfect for a sympathy card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Leaves of a Tree Thinking Of You

I still have quite a bit of last year's fall DSP, Autumn Spice, left over.  I pulled some out for this card.  My color combo is Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso.  The tree stamp is called Leaves of a Tree.  I rounded the corners of my focal image and inked the edges a little.  My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I layered that on the Word Window and Modern Label punches.  I made a flower rosette from First Edition DSP.  I added an antique brad to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by!
