Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Here's my first card with Holiday Catalog goodies.  I loved so many things in this new catalog that it was hard to decide what to make first!  I decided to go with the set Perfectly Preserved.  I love that this stamp set has a coordinating Framelits die set.  It makes creating so quick and easy.  I also adore the new Core'dinations card stock.  I was a little disappointed when SU discontinued the textured card stock.  I'm so happy to have a new option.  I hope we get it in lots of new colors!  I embossed the background piece with the new Woodgrain embossing folder and then sanded it to bring out the core color.  So awesome!  My color combo for this card is Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade and Raspberry Ripple.  The DSP is also a sneak peek.  It's called Orchard Harvest.  My sentiment is from the set Itty Bitty Banners, cut with the coordinating die.  I finished the whole thing off with a couple vintage brads.  Thanks for stopping by!

Make a Cake Birthday

Sorry I've been absent all week!  Summer is just so busy.  I also got my Holiday Catalog preorder so I did squeeze in a little time to stamp.  I promise to post a little sneak peek later in the week.  For this card I used the set Make a Cake.  I stamped that on a label die cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I pierced around the label using the coordinating template.  My color combo is Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade.  I embossed the card base with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  I used the Bitty Banners Framelit for my sentiment and embellished it with a designer brad.  Finally I used the Finishing Touches Edgelit to add a lacy border.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hour

I got this set with my first new catalog order.  It's called Happy Hour.  I really love the retro design and cute coordinating sentiments.  Although, it's turning out to be one of those sets that I'm struggling to create cards I really like.  Sometimes I get a set that catches my eye and the designs just don't click.  Oh well, I'll keep trying because I really do like this set!  I do like how this card turned out.  I stamped and punched four drinks in various In Colors - Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse.  The card base and background Lattice die cuts are done in Naturals White card stock.  I added a strip punched with the scallop ribbon punch.  That's it, super easy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts and Prayers Thinking of You

I used one of my free stamp set choices from my contest winnings to get this set - Thoughts and Prayers.  I've always really liked it but just never got around to ordering it.  For this card I used my markers to color all the different flowers.  Then I die cut the image with one of the Apothecary Accents dies.  My color combo is Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo.  My DSP is called Floral District.  I added a background piece embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and punched with the scallop edge punch.  I finished with a piece of organza ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Bunch Hi

I made this card at my Mom's a few weeks ago.  She expedited her order so she had new goodies to play with before I did!  I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set with the coordinating punch.  My DSP is called Comfort Cafe.  I punched a couple flowers from the background layer and then used the negative piece on my card.  I popped this up and embossed it to add a little a little dimension.  My color combo is Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse and Soft Suede.  My sentiment is from the set Fabulous Phrases and I die cut that with the Bitty Banners die.  I finished it off with a Natural designer button.  Thanks for stopping by!
