Here's another new stamp I just got from the Summer mini. This is a single stamp called Sail Away. I absolutely LOVE it!! I've mentioned in the past that I often struggle with masculine cards. This stamp makes it soooo easy. It makes a beautiful card appropriate for anyone. I also used some of the new Baker's Twine. I think this is my new favorite embellishment! I often use linen thread on my cards and this is a nice substitute with just a touch of color. My color combo is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake. I sponged my focal point first with Bashful Blue for the sky and Not Quite Navy for the water. I also stamped the sail boat a second time and cut out the sails. Then I popped these up on my stamped image to give it a little dimension. My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. I added a corduroy button tied to my Baker's Twine to finish it off. I think this will make a great card for my brother-in-law. Thanks for stopping by!

On the Grow Scooter
I finally placed my order from the Summer mini last week. There were lots of things I wanted but I managed a little restraint this time! I bought the On the Grow set mostly because I love this little scooter. Fortunately I like the other image and the sentiments too. I watercolored this with reinkers and my aquapainter. My color combo is Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi. The DSP is also from the Summer mini. It's called Beyond the Garden. My flower embellishment in the corner is made with one of the new triple layer punches. This one is called Blossom Bouquet. I'm still getting the hang of this new punch. It takes some serious muscle to punch this one! The green branches are from the Bird punch. I added a couple borders punched with the Scallop Ribbon punch. I think that's it. Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Vacation Layout
I worked on this layout at the crop I attended a few weeks ago. It was the first time I went to a crop and scrapped digitally. I don't think I'll ever go back to dragging all my stuff to another crop! It was so convient to just grab my laptop and go. I used My Digital Studio to make this layout. The elements are from a kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs called Trocial Hideaway. While we were on vacation Keith did a little waterskiing. It was a lot of fun to scrap these photos. I love how this layout turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Flower for a Shower
Here's a quick little card I made for my cousin's bridal shower. The guests were asked to wear pink and green so I decided to make her card in those colors too. The color combo is Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi. My focal flower is die cut with the Blossom Party die. I added a designer brad for the center. The Wild Wasabi strip is a new die that I bought at the Creating Keepsakes convention. The brand name is Nellie's Choice. My sentiment is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. I wasn't able to attend the shower so I hope she liked the card! Thanks for stopping by.

Some Yummy Coffee
This is the first time I've inked up this particular stamp from the Slice of Life set. It was a lot of fun to color with my Copics. Don't these drinks look yummy? Wish I had one right now! My color combo for the card is Chocolate Chip, Garden Green and Regal Rose. I don't use Garden Green a whole lot but I really like it with this combo. I'm going to have to remember to pull this out more often. The DSP is from Basic Grey. I circle punched my focal image and layered it on a punched scallop circle. I added some satin ribbon and a couple designer brads. I really like how this turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Bright Daisy Birthday
Since the weather has been so horrible here in the Adirondacks I decided it was time for some bright summery colors for my next project. This card was a lot of fun to make. I love the color combo - Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I die cut a multicolor Daisy for my focal point. I used my bone folder to curl the tips of the petals a little to give it some extra dimension. My patterned paper is from SEI. I punched one edge with a big scallop punch. My sentiment is from the SU set Birthday Bliss. I used a designer brad for the center of my Daisy. I added a strip of Whisper White punched with the scallop ribbon punch. Thanks for stopping by!
Inkymommy - The font for my watermark is called Pharmacy. I downloaded it for free from dafont.com.

Birthday Card with Some New Goodies
Every year I go to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester, NH with some friends. We make a weekend of it and have a blast! I made this card with some of my new goodies. I was trying to be really good this year but I just couldn't pass up the great deals, especially on paper! The DSP I used on this card for my Mom is called Bright Blossoms from SEI. My color combo is Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso. The die cut strip is also new. It's a die from a company called Marianne Designs. I threaded some Cherry Cobbler seam binding through the die. My focal image is stamped with the Four Frames set and punched with the Decorative Label punch. The sentiment is from the Create a Cupcake set. Thanks for stopping by!

Springtime Vintage Note Pad
I've seen some great little note pads using SU's dvd stamp cases. I covered the inside of the case with Springtime Vintage DSP. I added two scalloped strips cut with the Tasteful Trim die. The "Take Note" stamp is from the set Noteably Ornate. I punched this with an oval punch and layered it on a couple Daisy die cuts. My color combo is Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Pear Pizzazz. I didn't want to add too many thick embellishments or the case wouldn't close so I just used a little crochet trim. I also put a little strip of DSP and a punched scalloped border on the notepad itself. I think it ties things together nicely. I had a hard time finding note pads that fit inside the case. I ended up buying 5x7 pads and then had my husband trim a couple inches off the bottom with his power tools. It worked out great! Thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day Card
I made this card for my Mom for Mother's Day. I love the houndstooth pattern on the butterflies. This stamp is from the set called Butterfly Prints. I stamped three of these and punched them with the coordinating punch. My color combo is Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip. I embossed the background panel with the Perfect Polka Dot folder. My sentiment is from the hostess set Something to Celebrate. I added a corduroy button for a finishing touch. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Card for My Nephew
I bought this stamp set quite a while ago at an Expo and never got around to using it. It's from Rubbernecker stamps. It has all different stamps for creating a beach scene. It takes some practice but I like the final result. I watercolored the image with reinkers and an aquapainter. My color combo is Soft Suede, River Rock, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz. My sentiment is from the hostess set Something to Celebrate. Since this card is for my nephew I kept it pretty simple, no girlie embellishments! I added a ric rac strip cut with my Tasteful Trim die. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Anniversary Card
My sister has an anniversary coming up so I sat down tonight to make a card for her. I wanted to use the new border die I got at the CK Convention last weekend. This die is made by Lifestyle Crafts. It's a 12 inch border die so it's going to be great for scrapbooking. My color combo is Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White. The sentiment is from the set A Word for You. I added a paper daisy and a designer brad for a focal point. I really like the simplicity of this card along with the loopy border. I think the border could easily overpower a card. I think its going to be important to keep my card simple when I use this die. Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Blossoms with Four Frames
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! I was away for a few days attending the Creating Keepskaes Convention in Manchester, NH with a few friends. We had a great time and spent way too much money!! We attended a crop on Friday night so I'll have some projects to post in a bit.
Here's a card I made last week. I used Baby Blossoms to make a pretty mat for my sentiment. My color combo is Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Baja Breeze and So Saffron. I punched the Four Frames image with the Decorative Label punch. My sentiment is from the set You're a Gem. I added a little seam binding tied in a bow. Anyone else having problems getting nice knots or bows with the seam binding? I don't normally have problems but this stuff is giving me fits! I can't seem to get a decent looking bow. It took me about a dozen tries to get this one right. Oh well.....keep trying I guess! Thanks for stopping by.
